Luxor Temple and the Karnak Temple Complex are included in a standard 5-day Nile River trip from Luxor to Aswan.  Before setting sail for Esna, the second day is spent touring the Valley of the Kings and the Hatshepsut Mortuary Temple.  

On the third day, the Temple of Kom Ombo and the Temple of Horus at Edfu are visited.  On the fourth day, the ship travels to Aswan to view the Philae Temple, the High Dam, and the Unfinished Obelisk.  

Disembarkation takes place on day five, and a visit to the Abu Simbel Temples is an optional extra.
