Traveling by private vehicle or cab will take around three hours each way. If reservations are made in advance, the tour will also include visits to other important locations along the Nile, such as the temples of Edfu and Kom Ombo.

Two enormous sculptures of Amenhotep III, the pharaoh, are known as the Colossi of Memnon.
