What Panda Travel Egypt collects when you send an enquiry, why, who sees it, and how to ask us to delete it.

This page describes what is collected about you when you use this website, why, and who it reaches. It describes what actually happens on this site rather than speaking in general terms.

What you give us

When you fill in a form on this site, such as an enquiry about a tour, a hotel, a Nile cruise or a tailor-made trip, we record:

the name you typed
your mobile number and its country, and a separate WhatsApp number if you gave one
your e-mail address
your message, if you wrote one
how you prefer to be contacted
the details of the trip you asked about: the tour, hotel or cruise, your nationality, the type of traveller, the number of adults and children, the month or date of travel and the number of nights

What is collected on its own

Every enquiry also records:

the page you were on when you sent it
the site you arrived from (the referrer)
campaign details if you came from an advertisement: utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content, Google's gclid and Facebook's fbclid
your IP address
your browser and device type
the language you were reading in

We use this to tell a real enquiry from an automated one, and to know which advertisement brought you, so we spend on the ones that work.

Why we collect it

to answer your enquiry and send you a quotation
to plan and confirm the trip you ask us to book
to send you a confirmation of your enquiry by e-mail
to know how many people each page and form brings in, and to improve them
to stop spam

Who sees it

Your enquiry goes to Panda Travel Egypt's own customer system, and it is read by the team who answers you. We do not sell or rent your details to anyone.

When you ask us to book a trip, we pass on only what that booking needs to the people who deliver it: hotels, Nile cruise operators, airlines, transport companies and guides. For Hajj and Umrah, and for any visa we arrange for you, the details the authorities require go to them.

Measuring the visit itself

This site sets one cookie of its own, with no third party involved, holding a random number that stands for your browser. It is not your name and not your number, and we use it to know:

which pages you opened during a visit, and in what order
how you arrived: an advertisement, a search, a link, or typing the address
how long you stayed
your device type and your IP address

All of it is recorded on our own server and goes to nobody outside it. If you later send an enquiry, the visit is linked to it so we know where you came from.

Cookies and measurement

This site currently uses no third-party tracking tools beyond our own cookie described above. If one is added, this page will say so.

You can block cookies in your browser settings. The site keeps working; we simply stop being able to tell which pages helped you.

Google data used by our internal tools

Our staff portal connects to Google Search Console and to the Google Ads Keyword Planner with a Google account that belongs to Panda Travel Egypt. It reads only our own website's search performance and keyword search volumes, and uses them for one purpose: deciding which travel articles to write for this site.

It does not read any visitor's Google account, and no visitor is asked to sign in with Google.
The data is kept inside our own systems, is not sold, and is not shared with anyone.
It is not used for advertising to individuals, and people do not read it except to plan content.

Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

How long we keep it

We keep an enquiry for as long as we are in touch with you about it, or there is a reasonable chance you will come back to it. Ask us to delete it and we will, except where the law or our accounts require us to keep a record of a booking.

Some pages here link to hotel and cruise websites, to Google Maps or to YouTube. Those services have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for them.
