About International Hot Spring Hotel
International Hot Spring Hotel is on the eastern side of El Bawiti, the main town of Bahariya Oasis, about 350 km south-west of the Giza Pyramids. The Golden Mummies hall and Bawiti's old quarter are around 2 km away. It is a family-run property that has hosted travellers since the mid-1990s and is closely linked to the owners' White Desert Tours, so overland trips to the Black Desert, Crystal Mountain and the White Desert start from here.
Guests stay in single-storey bungalows and rooms around a palm-shaded garden, and there are Bedouin-style tents for a simple desert atmosphere. The restaurant serves breakfast and set Egyptian and international dinners, with vegetarian dishes on request, and Peter's Bar is the evening meeting point.
The centrepiece is a pool fed by the oasis's natural hot spring, which is popular after a dusty day in the desert. Other features include a children's playground, barbecue and picnic areas, free parking and Wi-Fi in public areas. The hotel suits independent travellers and small groups looking for a comfortable overnight stop on a Western Desert safari.
