Day1 Cairo - Bahariya Oasis LunchDinner
07:00 pick up from hotel in Cairo and transfer to Bahariya Oasis, about 360 km east Cairo (about 4 hours), lunch in Bahariya oasis. Then visit the golden mummy show room and nobles tombs (2 tombs) from the 26th dynasty, that is a huge burial site at Bahariya Oasis in the Western Desert of Egypt and the Tomb of Bannantiu in the Bahariya Oasis. Then enjoy climbing the English House. Overnight in Bahariya oasis.

Day2 White Desert , Black Desert & Camping BreakfastLunchDinner
After breakfast, driving to visit the Black Desert with the natural hot spring of El Haize (St.George Oasis), then drive to see the quartz crystal at Crystal Mountain, then the rocky formations in the Valley of Agabat.
Visiting the White Desert National Park which is the most well-known desert destination in Egypt, contains the quantity of unearthly and beautiful wind-carved rock formations shaped in the form of giant mushrooms or pebbles is unequalled in any desert in the world. Head to Camp in the white desert, or overnight at Farafra oasis hotel (subject to availability).

Day3 White Desert - Return to Cairo Breakfast
Breakfast at the camp with amazing sunrise views and transfer back to Cairo.

Children policy
Infants up to 2 years old: free of charge.
Children from 2 to 5.99 years old: 25% of the adult price.
Children from 6 to 11.99 years old: 50% of the adult price.
Children from 12 years old: the adult price applies.
The children policy applies to children sharing their parents’ room (a maximum of one child per room). If the programme includes a flight, the child’s flight is charged.
Booking and payment
Only 25% of the total price is required on confirmation, to secure hotel rooms, cruise cabins, domestic flights and other travel services.
The rest can be paid up to two days before arrival, or in cash on arrival to your tour manager.
Tips during tours
Tipping for good service is customary in Egypt, though not mandatory. It is always appreciated and entirely at your discretion.
Cancellation policy
If you cancel, the following charges apply:
From the date of booking until 61 days before arrival: 15% of the total package price.
60 to 31 days before arrival: 35% of the total package price.
30 to 15 days before arrival: 50% of the total package price.
14 to 1 days before arrival: 100% of the total package price.
Airline charges follow the airlines’ own terms and conditions, and refunds carry a 5% bank fee. Cancellation terms may differ for group bookings, by the time of booking, or for customised itineraries.
Force majeure
Your safety comes first. If an official “Do Not Travel” advisory is issued by a government or an airline for your destination, you can choose a full refund of the tour package or, in some cases, a travel credit for any of our destinations, applied to a future booking.
Only airline cancellation or change fees, under the airline’s terms, and bank charges on the deposit apply.
Questions
How far is Bahariya Oasis from Cairo, and how do we travel?
Bahariya Oasis is about 360 km from Cairo, roughly a four-hour drive. You are picked up from your Cairo hotel at 07:00 in an air-conditioned vehicle. Inside Bahariya and the White Desert you travel by 4x4, which is how you reach the Black Desert, Crystal Mountain, the Valley of Agabat and the camp.
What is the White Desert camping like?
The second night is spent in a camp in the White Desert National Park, among wind-carved rock formations shaped like giant mushrooms. Camping equipment is supplied, including tents, sleeping bags and camel blankets, and dinner and breakfast are included. You wake to sunrise over the desert before returning to Cairo. If you prefer a bed, a Farafra Oasis hotel can be used instead, subject to availability.
Where do I sleep, and which meals are included?
Night one is in a hotel in Bahariya Oasis and night two is in the White Desert camp, or a Farafra hotel, both on half board. In total the trip includes lunch and dinner on day one, breakfast, lunch and dinner on day two, and breakfast on day three, plus a bottle of water each day.
Does the tour include a hotel in Cairo?
No. The trip starts and ends at your hotel in Cairo, with pick-up and drop-off included, but Cairo nights are not part of this package. Many travellers combine it with a Cairo programme, and because it is private we can build both into one itinerary for you.
Can children come on the desert trip?
Infants under 2 travel free. Children aged 2 to 5.99 pay 25% of the adult rate and children aged 6 to 11.99 pay 50%, provided they share their parents' room (maximum one child per room). From age 12 the adult rate applies. Let us know the ages of everyone travelling so we can plan the camp night accordingly.
How do I book this White Desert tour?
