Questions

Which hotels and Nile cruise are included?

In Cairo you stay three nights with breakfast at Marriott Mena House on the Diamond option or Steigenberger Pyramids on the Golden option. The Nile cruise is the Oberoi Zahra, four nights from Luxor to Aswan on full board, with time to relax on board as you sail between Edfu, Kom Ombo and Aswan.

Are the domestic flights included?

Yes. The flights from Cairo to Luxor on day three and from Aswan back to Cairo on day seven are included, which keeps travel time short. International flights and the Egypt entry visa are not included. Children's airfare on the domestic flights is charged separately.

Is Abu Simbel included?

Abu Simbel is not part of the standard programme. It is offered as an optional group excursion by coach from Aswan on day seven, before your flight back to Cairo. Because the tour is private, we can also discuss building Abu Simbel into a customised version of the itinerary.

Which days does it depart?

The Pyramids and Nile Escape Program runs every Saturday, Sunday and Thursday. Send us your preferred arrival date and group size and we will confirm the nearest departure and price it for you. Because the tour is private, we can also discuss a customised version if none of these days fits your travel plans.

How is this different from the budget version?

This version flies between Cairo and Upper Egypt and spends four nights on the Nile cruise, sailing from Luxor to Aswan. The budget programme uses the overnight sleeper train in both directions and has three cruise nights from Aswan to Luxor, departing on Saturdays and Wednesdays.

How do I book, and can children join?

Send us your travel dates and group size and we will price the trip for you. A 25% deposit on confirmation secures hotels and services; the balance is due up to two days before arrival, or in cash on arrival to your tour manager. Infants under 2 travel free. Children aged 2 to 5.99 pay 25% of the adult rate and children aged 6 to 11.99 pay 50%, provided they share their parents' room (maximum one child per room). From age 12 the adult rate applies.
