Questions
Which hotels are used on the Cairo and Luxor tour?
You spend three nights at Hyatt Regency Cairo West in Cairo and one night at Steigenberger Nile Palace in Luxor, both with breakfast. The Cairo nights are split around the Luxor visit, so you return to the same Giza hotel after the evening flight back from Luxor and have a final night before your departure transfer.
Are the flights to Luxor included?
Yes. Domestic flights from Cairo to Luxor and from Luxor back to Cairo are included. The outbound flight is early, at approximately 06:00 to 07:00, and the return is in the evening, at approximately 22:00 to 23:00. International flights and the Egypt visa are not included, and children's airfare is charged.
What do I see in Luxor?
On day three you visit the West Bank: the Valley of the Kings, the mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. On day four you explore the East Bank temples of Karnak and Luxor Temple before your flight back to Cairo. The Karnak sound and light show is available as an optional evening extra.
Which meals are included?
Breakfast is included every morning, and lunch is included on days two, three and four. Dinners are not included, which leaves your evenings free in Cairo and Luxor, for example for the optional Karnak sound and light show. A bottle of water is provided each day during the tours.
Can I extend the tour with a Nile cruise or more time in Luxor?
Yes. This is a private package, so it can be customised, for example by adding nights in Luxor, a Nile cruise to Aswan or a few days on the Red Sea. Tell us what you have in mind when you send your dates.
How do I book, and what is the cancellation policy?
Send us your travel dates and group size and we will price the trip for you. A 25% deposit on confirmation secures hotels and services; the balance is due up to two days before arrival, or in cash on arrival to your tour manager. Cancellation charges are 15% up to 61 days before arrival, 35% from 60 to 31 days, 50% from 30 to 15 days and 100% within 14 days.
