Children policy

Infants up to 2 years old: free of charge.

Children from 2 to 5.99 years old: 25% of the adult price.

Children from 6 to 11.99 years old: 50% of the adult price.

Children from 12 years old: the adult price applies.

The children policy applies to children sharing their parents’ room (a maximum of one child per room). If the programme includes a flight, the child’s flight is charged.

Booking and payment

Only 25% of the total price is required on confirmation, to secure hotel rooms, cruise cabins, domestic flights and other travel services.

The rest can be paid up to two days before arrival, or in cash on arrival to your tour manager.

Tips during tours

Tipping for good service is customary in Egypt, though not mandatory. It is always appreciated and entirely at your discretion.

Cancellation policy

If you cancel, the following charges apply:

From the date of booking until 61 days before arrival: 15% of the total package price.

60 to 31 days before arrival: 35% of the total package price.

30 to 15 days before arrival: 50% of the total package price.

14 to 1 days before arrival: 100% of the total package price.

Airline charges follow the airlines’ own terms and conditions, and refunds carry a 5% bank fee. Cancellation terms may differ for group bookings, by the time of booking, or for customised itineraries.

Force majeure

Your safety comes first. If an official “Do Not Travel” advisory is issued by a government or an airline for your destination, you can choose a full refund of the tour package or, in some cases, a travel credit for any of our destinations, applied to a future booking.

Only airline cancellation or change fees, under the airline’s terms, and bank charges on the deposit apply.

You stay three nights at The Nile Ritz-Carlton in Cairo and one night at Lazib Inn Resort and Spa, a boutique desert resort in Fayoum. Breakfast is included every day. The Ritz-Carlton nights cover your Cairo sightseeing, while the Fayoum night follows the day at Wadi El Rayan, Wadi Al Hitan and Lake Qarun, ending with dinner under the stars.

What makes this tour different from a standard Cairo package?

All sightseeing is led by a private English-speaking Egyptologist, and the programme adds experiences beyond the main sites: a private Nile sailing at sunset with dinner, a luxury spa session, premium lunches and exclusive dinners, and a night in the Fayoum desert after Wadi El Rayan, Wadi Al Hitan and Lake Qarun.

Which meals are included?

Breakfast is included daily, along with two premium lunches and two exclusive dinners as set out in the itinerary. These include dinner at the Marriott Mena House restaurant on arrival, a rooftop lunch overlooking the Pyramids, the Nile sailing dinner, lunch at Naguib Mahfouz Restaurant and a dinner under the stars in Fayoum.

What is Wadi Al Hitan?

Wadi Al Hitan, the Valley of the Whales, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Fayoum where you can see ancient whale fossils dating back millions of years. You visit it on day four after the waterfalls and lakes of Wadi El Rayan, before watching the sunset over Lake Qarun.

What is not included?

The Egypt entry visa, personal expenses, optional tours not listed and tips are not included, and your international flights are arranged by you. Airport meet-and-assist on arrival and departure, private transport, the Egyptologist, entrance fees, hotels, Nile sailing, the spa session and the listed meals are included.

Can I tailor the trip, and how do I book?

Yes. It is fully private, so you can add nights or change the pace. Send us your travel dates and group size and we will price the trip for you. A 25% deposit on confirmation secures hotels and services; the balance is due up to two days before arrival, or in cash on arrival to your tour manager.
