About Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa
Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa lies on the East Bank of the Nile in New Karnak, about 1.5 km north of Karnak Temple. The Luxor Museum and the town centre are a short drive away, and Luxor International Airport is around 20 minutes by car. The resort has about 170 metres of river frontage and a private jetty, where felucca sails and sunset trips on the Nile can be arranged.
The 236 rooms and suites were reconfigured during a major renovation completed in 2009, and about half of them now face the river. Most rooms have a balcony. Restaurants include Silk Road for Asian cuisine and Olives for Mediterranean dishes. The Diwan café serves tea, Turkish coffee and shisha above the water, and there is a sunken bar in the pool.
The centrepiece is a pair of infinity pools overlooking the Nile and the hills of the West Bank. The spa has Nile-side treatment pavilions, and there is also a fitness room, a kids' club and meeting space that includes a ballroom. The resort suits couples and families who want a quieter setting near Karnak rather than a hotel in the busy centre of Luxor.
