About Barceló Cairo Pyramids
Barceló Cairo Pyramids is a 236-room tower on Al Haram Street, the long avenue that runs from central Giza to the plateau. The pyramids and Sphinx are about 4 km away, the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir about 8 km and Cairo International Airport about 28 km. The Grand Egyptian Museum is a short taxi ride west. The street outside is busy and lined with shops and local eateries.
Rooms are modern and functional. The Superior Pyramids View rooms and Junior Suite Deluxe Pyramids View look towards the plateau, and the other rooms face the city. Accessible rooms can be requested directly from the hotel.
Nefertari, Sphinx and Horus serve local and international food as buffets and à la carte. There are three bars, including Osiris by the pool, and a 12th-floor panoramic terrace with pyramid views. The heated outdoor pool is open all year. The spa has two hot tubs, a Finnish sauna, a Turkish bath and massage, and there is a gym, a beauty salon and four meeting rooms for up to 450 people. It is a sensible mid-range base for sightseeing groups and value-minded travellers.
